Military products providing innovative solutions to current and advanced platforms
Curtiss-Wright Flow Control provides a wide array of advanced products to the U.S. military. In the defense market, we provide critical components for the Navy's nuclear ships and submarines program, along with pumps and other advanced electro-mechanical and power systems.
Among the Curtiss-Wright Flow Control business units with a significant heritage
of performance are:

- EMD is a leader in the supply of critical function, electro-mechanical products. Innovative system and product solutions are based in the rich legacy of over 100 years of Westinghouse technology. More than 50 years ago, Curtiss-Wright-EMD built critical function pumps for the first nuclear powered submarine, the USS Nautilus. Today, Curtiss-Wright-EMD continues to develop, design and supply advanced electro-mechanical solutions for the U.S. Navy, including the Navy's most advanced motors, generators and secondary propulsors. Within the
commercial nuclear power industry, Curtiss-Wright-EMD supplies reactor coolant pumps, seals, motors and control rod drive mechanisms. Recently, Curtiss-Wright-EMD expanded its product offering to include both subsea pumping and hazardous waste pumping systems.

- EPD and its predecessor companies have been providing naval and maritime technological expertise since 1847. EPD's pumps go to the heart of the systems that enable the Navy's ships and submarines to protect our nation. Today, we are the leading supplier of mission-critical pumps for the U.S. Navy's Nimitz Class aircraft carriers and Virginia Class submarines, as well as the Navy's next generation CVN-21 Class aircraft carriers. EPD also supports the entire naval fleet with various innovative pumping solutions such as composite pumps and parts, and we provide complete overhaul, upgrade and field service capabilities.

- Founded in 1939, Peerless has been providing the U.S. Nuclear Navy with innovative electronic designs and engineering software for instrumentation and control processes since 1954. Providing advanced solutions to new programs and cost-competitive retrofits to current platforms has resulted in strong growth for generations.

- Since the 1950s, Target Rock valves have ensured safe and reliable operations within the most critical, severe service environments of military aircraft carriers and submarines, as well as in complementary commercial markets. One trait that is common to our products is high performance – all products are highly engineered with formidable quality and absolute reliability.

- Trentec is internationally recognized as the leader in solutions for nuclear facility airlocks and containment doors, diamond wire concrete cutting services and custom fabrication.
