From takeoff to landing, aiming and stabilization and overall mission control and recording – Curtiss-Wright’s Motion Control products combine the most advanced technologies with the highest level of reliability. On high-performance platforms, every component and system must be synchronized to maximize performance. That’s why our emphasis is not just on supplying sophisticated components, but designing fully interoperable and integrated subsystems.
Curtiss-Wright’s Motion Control segment is a global leader in the design, manufacture, service and integration of motion control components and subsystems for defense, aerospace, naval and industrial applications.
We provide advanced technology solutions for our customers’ most challenging requirements in the air, on the ground, in the sea and under fire.
Curtiss-Wright Motion Control's four product groups are:
-
Electronic Systems
-
provides
advanced electronics for military applications, from state-of-the-art
development programs, such as flight and mission computers that fly unmanned
aerial vehicles and control their sensors,
to fielded programs, such as
gun turret stabilization that
allows tanks to fire while moving, to high-speed storage and recording of radar
and other sensor data. Our solutions utilize open system architecture and our
technologies result in lower risk, cost and time-to-market for our customers.
We focus on capabilities such as program management, engineering, manufacturing,
quality and technology that are aligned to the unique and mission-critical
requirements of aerospace and defense programs.
- Embedded Computing
- the industry’s most
comprehensive and experienced single source for deployed embedded system
solutions and development platforms. Our product offerings range from building
blocks like processing, graphics & video, data communications, signal
acquisition and rugged displays, to qualified and tested system sets. We offer
Modified COTS services for custom application needs and specialize in
ruggedization and high reliability. We are experts in addressing size, weight
and power (SWaP) considerations, and support open standards such as VPX,
OpenVPX, VME and cPCI. Whether for air, ground or sea platforms, Embedded
Computing has the expertise in boards, systems or customization to meet your
aerospace or defense system integration challenges.
-
Engineered Systems
- provides high-performance designs and precision manufacturing capabilities to customers
in need of severe service, mission-critical components and subsystems. From commercial and military aircraft secondary flight controls and utility actuation, to ammunition handling, armored vehicle suspension and turret stabilization
to industrial actuation, we develop the most innovative technologies from
individual components to fully integrated systems. Moreover, we consistently provide value-added solutions for our customers’ repair and overhaul requirements.
- Integrated Sensing
- a global leader in precision sensor engineering, specializing in the production of engine and flight controls, position sensors, airborne fire protection systems, rotor ice detection and protection systems, and power conversion units. Whether it’s supplying commercial aircraft controls, Formula One race car components or industrial joysticks used in off-road vehicles, our product portfolio supports original equipment manufacturers and retrofit designs to provide the latest advances in technology.
