From takeoff to landing, aiming and stabilization, and overall mission control and recording – Curtiss-Wright’s Motion Control products combine the most advanced technologies with the highest level of reliability. On high-performance platforms, every component and system must be synchronized to maximize performance. That’s why our emphasis is not just on supplying sophisticated components, but designing fully interoperable and integrated subsystems.
Curtiss-Wright’s Motion Control segment is a global leader in the design, manufacture, service and integration of motion control components and subsystems for defense, aerospace, naval and industrial applications. Through our three divisions, we provide advanced technology solutions for our customers’ most challenging requirements in the air, on the ground, in the sea and under fire.
- Engineered Systems provides high performance designs and precision manufacturing capabilities to customers for severe service, mission-critical components and subsystems. From commercial and military aircraft secondary flight controls and utility actuation, to ammunition handling, armored vehicle suspension and turret stabilization, shipboard landing systems to industrial actuation, we develop the most innovative technologies from components into fully integrated systems. Moreover, we consistently provide value-added solutions for our customers’ repair and overhaul requirements.
- Embedded Computing provides open system architecture, benign and ruggedized commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) computing solutions that span the full range of embedded computing technologies from board level products, including single board computers (SBC) digital signal processors (DSP), to fully integrated subsystems. Our core capabilities include high-performance graphic solutions, high-speed input/output (I/O), high-density computing, specialized chassis design, custom and component engineering, software services, and legacy manufacturing services.
- Integrated Sensing is a global leader in precision sensor engineering, specializing in the production of engine and flight controls, position sensors, airborne fire protection systems, rotor ice detection and protection systems, and power conversion units. Whether it’s supplying commercial aircraft controls, Formula One race car components or industrial joysticks used in off-road vehicles, our product portfolio supports original equipment manufacturers and retrofit designs to provide the latest advances in technology.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Motion Control’s 16 facilities and 2,200 employees are located around the world provide engineering and technological leadership, setting new standards for excellence and innovation. Strong, long-term relationships with major customers like Boeing, General Dynamics, BAE, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and all military services have secured Curtiss-Wright’s position as one of the defense industry’s top subsystem suppliers.
