Curtiss-Wright Celebrates 85th Anniversary of Listing on the New York Stock Exchange

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE:CW) will commemorate the 85th anniversary of its listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) by ringing The Closing Bell® on Friday, August 22 at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The Company began trading on the NYSE on August 22, 1929. 

In recognition of this milestone, Executive Chairman, Martin R. Benante, and President and Chief Executive Officer, David C. Adams, will ring the NYSE Closing Bell®, accompanied by members of the leadership team, executives and guests.

Curtiss-Wright's legacy of innovation ties to the earliest pioneers in aviation industry. As a result of their successes, Curtiss-Wright was formed on July 5, 1929, by the merger of companies founded by Glenn Curtiss, the father of naval aviation, and the Wright brothers, renowned for history's first flight.
